The retiring Directors are Messrs. F H Barr, J Tweedale and W B Nicholson, who are eligible and offer themselves for re-election.
The Auditor (Mr J H Naylor) retires but offers himself for re-election.
The Directors call the attention of the shareholders to the fact that last Cricket Season was far advanced before the Cricket Club came into possession of its present ground owing to the delay in finishing the ground and trust that the fact that three County Matches are to be played here this season will prove a source of increased revenue. In addition to this the Cricket Club's Committee has arranged for a First Team Match to be played on the ground every Saturday.
They would also call attention to the large attendance at the Football Matches between North and South and at the Final Cup Tie as proofs of the unrivalled accommodation afforded by the football ground to all classes of spectators, not less that 30,000 persons being able to obtain a good view of the game.
The Tennis Courts have been so largely patronised that the Directors have found it necessary to lay down five new courts, making sixteen altogether. The Yorkshire Lawn Tennis Association will hold their Annual Tournament in the ground on the 23rd June and following days.
A cycling Section has just been formed and the cycling track has been favourably reported on by competent judges. It is intended to hold two or three Evening Cycling Meetings during the season.
